Therefore, anyone who contradicts this pronouncement by saying that sin is transmitted should also say that sin travels back again. If sins descend from parents to children, let them also ascend from children to parents, since the authority of divine law shows that parents’ crimes do not harm their children, just as children’s crimes do not harm their parents.
