For if, as the preceding discussion has shown and the following discussion will show, everything belonging to reason, learning, justice, devotion, and the testimony of sacred Scripture supports the doctrine we defend, all our enemies’ efforts achieve nothing except to prove them utterly shameless before every learned person, utterly defiant before the holy, and utterly irreverent toward God.
