This, to my power, I contested for the problem of prayer, and for the prayer in the Gospels, and the words before it with Matthew — most studious and most genuine brothers in godliness, Ambrosius and Tatiana. I despair not — with your 'things before' stretched toward and your 'things behind' forgotten, and your being in these things praying for us — of holding more and diviner things in all these from the giving God, and, receiving again, discussing the same things more greatly grown and loftier and plainer. Only, at present, with indulgence, shall you meet with these.
