What the Passover means for Christians

And when these things have been done, the people come out of Egypt, and the firstborn of the Egyptians perish. After the Hebrews' going out, Pharaoh regrets it. He comes out pursuing them with the army and the chariots, and so is drowned in the Red Sea. Moses with the people passes through the sea.

Καὶ τούτων γενομένων ὁ λαὸς τὴν Αἴγυπτον ἐξέρχεται καὶ τὰ πρωτότοκα τῶν Αἰγυπτίων ἀπόλλυται, καὶ ὁ Φαραὼ μετὰ τὴν|| τῶν Ἑβραίων ἔξοδον μεταμέλεται, καὶ ἅμα τῇ στρατιᾷ καὶ τοῖς ἅρμασιν καταδιώκων αὐτοὺς ἐξέρχεται, καὶ οὕτως ἐν τῇ Ἐρυθ[ρ]ᾷ θαλάσσῃ καταποντίζε[τα]ι, καὶ Μωϋσῆς σὺν τῷ λ[αῷ] διὰ τῆς θαλάσσης διέρχετ[αι].
