What the Passover means for Christians
Since the people of the Hebrews then come out of Egypt, the law is reasonably given them for this feast in this way, household by household: so that each, taking a male sheep, perfect and unblemished, may sacrifice it and toward evening eat it roasted with fire, neither raw nor boiled in water — so that the destroyer of the firstborn of the Egyptians may not touch them, seeing the posts of their doors anointed with the blood.
