The Passover is not a type of the passion
Since then [...]. The sheep is sacrificed by holy ones or Nazirites, but the Savior is sacrificed by lawless and sinners. And that the sheep of the Passover is sacrificed by holy ones, the apostle has also said: "For our Passover also has been sacrificed, Christ." Christ is sacrificed according to the type of the Passover. He is sacrificed by the holy ones. And the Passover is a type of Christ — yet not of his passion.
