On Pascha · §1.16

For you

For if he had added: "Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying: This month is for you the beginning of months," he would have been saying this without distinction both to Moses and Aaron and to the whole people. But it is said to Moses and Aaron: "This month is for you the beginning of months; it is first for you among the months of the year." And he is commanded to speak not this, but that on the tenth of the month they should take a sheep according to the houses of the fathers.
