Loins girded
What it is to have the loins girded we shall be taught from other sayings of Scripture. The apostle, recounting the things from the loin of Abraham who was blessed by Melchizedek, speaks thus: "And Levi, who receives tenths, has been tithed; for he was still in the loin of the father when Melchizedek met him." And elsewhere he says: "Though they had come out of the loin of Abraham." And in Job he says of the devil: "And his strength is in loin and in the navel of belly."
