Iniquity completed; church not handed over; end after Christ
You have paid a sufficient penalty, in which Edom will succeed. And the “he will not add to relocate you” either speaks toward the recalling—for you will not remain upon the captivity, having filled the complete measure; for God lessens the penalty, he does not add—or if it has been said toward a second capture as not about to come to be, how did the one after that under Romans come to be? Perhaps, then, the word is about the last one that came to be because of Christ, after which another has not come to be. And all Israel will be saved after the fullness of the nations, having left the lawlessness; after which thereafter the completion, and the punishment of the earthly things, the judgment receiving. And the word would also be said toward the church, which is daughter of the synagogue of old (“for the gifts of God are without regret,” and her lawlessness failed through the divine baptism), which he no longer hands over to the enemies who said: “here I will dwell, because I chose her” and “behold I am with you all the days until the completion of the age”—when he also pilloried the impiety of those who mind the earthly things.
