I gave you an example

“For I gave you an example, that you also should do as I did to you.”

The example is not only bodily but also of the Word’s humility.

Ὑπόδειγμα γὰρ ἔδωκα ὑμῖν ἵνα καθὼς ἐγὼ ἐποίησα ὑμῖν καὶ ὑμεῖς ποιῆτε.

Οὐ μόνον σωματικὸν τὸ ὑπόδειγμα ἀλλὰ καὶ τῆς ταπεινοφροσύνης τοῦ λόγου.
