When you have lifted up the Son of Man
Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and that I do nothing of myself.”
The lifting up signifies the cross; then they will know through the signs after the passion.

Εἶπεν οὖν ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ὅταν ὑψώσητε τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου, τότε γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι, καὶ ἀπ᾽ ἐμαυτοῦ ποιῶ οὐδέν.
Ἡ ὕψωσις δηλοῖ τὸν σταυρόν· τότε γνώσονται διὰ τῶν μετὰ τὸ πάθος σημείων.
