Heracleon on the saying “one sows and another reaps”
Heracleon will say — and on the wording he may agree — that one is the sower and another the reaper.
We do not deny the verse; we also keep the psalm’s harmony in which the same person both sows and reaps.

Καὶ ἐρεῖ γε ὁ Ἡρακλέων, τάχα δὲ τούτῳ κατὰ τὴν λέξιν συμφέρεται, ἄλλον μὲν εἶναι τὸν σπείροντα ἄλλον δὲ τὸν θερίζοντα.
ἡμεῖς δὲ οὐκ ἀρνούμεθα τὸ ῥητόν, ἀλλὰ καὶ τὴν ἐν τοῖς ψαλμοῖς συμφωνίαν τοῦ αὐτοῦ σπείροντος καὶ θερίζοντος τηροῦμεν.
