That food is doing the Father’s will and finishing his work
Return now to the word about food. Jesus says to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”
That is the food the disciples did not know: doing the Father’s will and finishing his work.

Ἀλλ’ ἤδη ἐπὶ τὸν προκείμενον λόγον τὸν περὶ τῆς βρώσεως ἐπανίωμεν. λέγει γὰρ αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἐμὸν βρῶμά ἐστιν ἵνα ποιήσω τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πέμψαντός με καὶ τελειώσω αὐτοῦ τὸ ἔργον.
αὕτη οὖν ἡ βρῶσίς ἐστιν, ἣν οἱ μαθηταὶ οὐκ ᾔδεισαν, τὸ ποιεῖν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ τελειοῦν τὸ ἔργον αὐτοῦ.
