Against Julian 6.15.46

None of the righteous there will any longer bruise his body and bring it into subjection. No one will humble his soul with a hard bed and bodily filth.

No one will expose his blessed disregard for shame to insults, his cheeks to slaps, or his back to lashes. Nor will he strive to forge strength out of weakness. Frugality will not struggle with poverty, nor greatness of soul with grief, nor patience with pain.
