How fittingly Jeremiah, with the chorus of prophets and all the saints, would cry out: ‘Who will give water to my head and a fountain of tears to my eyes?’ (Jeremiah 9:1).

Glorious struggles.

The wickedness of a declining age.

The ruin of morals.

The destruction of modesty.

They say with the Manichaeans that a necessity of evil exists in their flesh.
