Lust is just and should be publicly praised if, by refusing to obey him, it punished the person who did not obey God.

Nothing can be considered more praiseworthy if it avenged the injustice of the offense, vindicated the wrong done to God, and had so little partnership in sin that it assumed the office of avenger.
