Even you see that this is not worth disputing. Still, we must help unwary minds that seize on the crudest opinions, flattering bad conduct, to comfort a wounded conscience. We therefore ask whether you discovered any occasion in Scripture for an invention of such stupidity. If you say, ‘Through one man sin entered the world’ (Romans 5:12), we remind you to reread the preceding book of this work. If you remember it, you will be unable to appropriate the apostle’s testimony.
