To Florus 3.21

Now, then, let my words address the man with whom we are disputing. Do you submit to God’s law—at least in your profession, for we know what you do in argument—or do you resist it? If you submit, the dispute is over; if you resist, our agreement is over. If you submit, the error of the advocates of inherited sin is extinguished; if you resist, the unbelief of the Manichaeans is exposed. At all events, it stands established that your opinion and God’s law cannot agree.
