Evil, then, cannot be natural. Consequently, no creature is guilty by nature, nor is its author evil. For evil is found not to be a subsisting nature. Just as every creature is good insofar as it is created, so God, the author of good natures, is proved entirely good, stained by no crime in his work. Everything Mani brought forward is therefore overthrown by this single catholic argument.
