To Florus 3.107

We do not, then, believe that free will without God’s help is adequate for the worship offered by those initiated into the sacred mysteries. Rather, we acknowledge freedom of choice as a fully competent witness to divine fairness. When we must appear before Christ’s judgment seat and each receive what belongs to deeds done in the body, whether good or evil (2 Corinthians 5:10), God will be shown to judge nothing unjustly: he charges no one with a sin unless the person punished for it could also have avoided it.
