To Florus 2.165

‘Therefore, justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we also have access to this grace in which we stand, and we glory in the hope of God’s glory’ (Romans 5:1–2). You who see that justification has been conferred on you through the forgiveness of sins, he says, hold firmly to harmony, and with united minds praise the Mediator’s gifts. By his gift we have been granted entrance into this grace. Those whom justice held guilty—because it was will, not nature, that made us guilty—he restored to freedom and snatched from retribution. He granted that we who expected eternal punishments should now glory in the hope of God’s glory.
