How did I come to deserve the dignity of so great an insult? By praising me you could have bestowed nothing like it. You say my views deserve rejection, but God's works deserve condemnation. You declare that I argue badly, but that God creates wickedly. You shout that I err, but that he is cruel. You assert that I do not know the Law, but that God does not know justice. You cry out that I am not catholic because I say Christ calls people in order to save them; but you swear that God creates people to condemn them, and brings them into being for no other reason than that all should go into condemnation (compare Romans 5:18).
