Matthew 10:11–15
He does not want them to change from place to place and house to house, lest grief come to the first host, and lest they take on a suspicion of gluttony and easiness. The dust shaken from their feet is proof of a journey toward them that gained nothing, and of the toils they endured for them. They will be punished equally with the people of Sodom: those dishonored the angels; these, the apostles.
