Cyril of Alexandria: Fragments on Matthew · §197

Matthew 19:29

He does not say they will receive many fathers instead of one, or many mothers instead of one, or many fields instead of few, but that the heavenly will surpass all earthly things with incomparable excellences, and what is being saved will be preferred to what is being lost.
