Future fuller praise; priest firstfruits and sin-portions; redemption of firstborn begins

Cyril: …to those in bonds, Come out, and to those in the dark, Be uncovered;’ the same manner, I think, with death having been abolished, and sin having been loosed altogether, there will be a manner of praise fitting the time; for upon greater things we will hymn; and having grown rich the goods beyond mind and word, with brighter well-speakings we will crown-together Christ the giver of all the goods for us with God and Father. ‘For whether prophecies will be abolished,’ (Isaiah 49:9) he says, ‘or knowledge will cease; And now at least we know from part; but whenever the perfect should come, the from part will be abolished.’ (1 Corinthians 13:8–10) And indeed also Christ himself somewhere said: ‘These things in parables I have spoken to you. But an hour comes when neither in parables will I speak to you, but with frankness concerning the Father I will announce to you.’ (John 16:25) So then with more perfect knowledge about to be in us according to times, higher than now we will also hymn.

Cyril: So then having legislated for each sacrifice the bound fitting it, and having said very well how it would become, at once he sets the sacred-worker as partner of the altar.
