Commentary on Romans, Book V
Peace with God; hope that does not shame§1
1Since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God; suffering produces endurance.
Latin · §1
Gloriamur in spe gloriae Dei; tribulatio patientiam operatur.
Adam’s trespass; Christ’s free gift§2
2Sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin. Far more the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. Glory to Christ. Amen.
Latin · §2
Gloria Christo. Amen.
