The Passover is not a type of the passion
For the Savior himself says: "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up," according to the type of the serpent hung on the wood by Moses, signifying nothing other than the passion of the Savior insofar as he was hung on wood. It is clear, then, that the passion will be taken according to the type of the serpent and not according to the type of the Passover.
