This month is the beginning of months
This month, God says to Moses and Aaron, is a beginning of months, and first among the months of the year for them, when they come out of Egypt. And as far as the history goes, this same month is first, and the Jews keep this feast every year on the fourteenth of the first month, household by household, sacrificing a sheep according to the law given them through Moses.

Τοῦτον τὸν μῆνα ἀρχὴν μη||νῶν λέγει εἶναι ὁ θ(εὸ)ς πρὸς Μωϋσῆν καὶ Ἀαρών, καὶ πρῶτον αὐτὸν ἐν τοῖς μησὶν τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ αὐτοῖς εἶνα[ι], ἡνίκα τὴν Αἴγυπτον ἐξέ[ρχο]νται· καὶ ὅσον μὲν κατὰ [τὴ]ν ἱστορίαν, οὗτος αὐτὸς πρ[ῶτο]ς μήν ἐστιν καὶ ταύτην ἄγ[ουσι]ν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι κατ' ἔτος τὴν ἑο[ρτ]ὴν τῇ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτῃ [το]ῦ πρώτου μηνὸς κατ' οἴκου[ς] πρόβατον κατὰ τὸν διὰ Μω[ϋσ]έως αὐτοῖς δοθέντα νόμο[ν] <θύοντες>.
