Moses, the Cushite wife, and Miriam

Moses had taken a Cushite wife; Miriam and Aaron spoke against him. Miriam becomes leprous. Miriam figures the former people; Moses the law; the Cushite the church from the nations. The synagogue is offended at the wife from the Gentiles. Miriam is put outside the camp; the leprosy of sin appears when the cloud of grace withdraws.

Moyses Aethiopissam duxit uxorem; Maria et Aaron detraxerunt. Maria leprosa efficitur. Maria formam prioris populi habet; Moyses legem; Aethiopissa ecclesiam ex gentibus. Synagoga indignatur de uxore ex gentibus. Maria eicitur extra castra; lepra peccati apparet cum nubes gratiae recesserit.
