Seventy elders and the Spirit
Many things were read to us at once. Moses went out to the people and spoke the words of the Lord. A church teacher is “within” while he speaks God’s deep wisdom among the perfect; he “goes outside” when he offers the crowds what the multitude can hear. So Paul spoke wisdom among the perfect. The Lord chose seventy elders and put the spirit that was on Moses upon them. Do not take “spirit” as a material stuff, but as the Holy Spirit in the holy.

Plura nobis simul recitata sunt. Moyses exiit ad populum et locutus est verba Domini. Doctor ecclesiae intus est cum profunda Dei sapientiae inter perfectos loquitur; foras exit cum ad turbas profert quae vulgus audire potest. Paulus sapientiam inter perfectos loquebatur. Dominus septuaginta seniores elegit; spiritum qui in Moyse erat posuit super eos. Non materialem spiritum intelligas, sed spiritum sanctum in sanctis.
