Judas and the armed crowd

While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests. Some say they feared the multitude of believers would snatch him away; I think they supposed he could escape by magical arts — having heard how he had once slipped those who would throw him down. Glory to Christ. Amen.

Latin

Et adhuc eo loquente, ecce Judas unus ex duodecim venit, et cum eo turba multa cum gladiis et fustibus missi a principibus sacerdotum. Propter multitudinem credentium timuerunt ne raperetur; ego autem existimo eos putasse eum magicis disciplinis posse effugere. Gloria Christo. Amen.
