Shielding toil; chase in wrath if they will not seek

The “shielding of heart” is a toil for them, because you will give them a toil unto perception of how great you were when shielding them, so that they may seek you again. And if not, you will chase them in your wrath.

Klagel. Jerem. 3, 65. 66. Τὸ ὑπερασπισμὸν καρδίας μόχθον αὐτοῖς, ὅτι δώσεις ἀὐτοῖς μόχθον εἰς αἴσθησιν τοῦ πόσος ὑπῆρχες ὑπερασπίζων αὐτῶν, ἵνα σὲ καὶ πάλιν ζητήσωσιν. εἰ δὲ μή, καταδιώξεις αὐτοὺς ἐν ὀργῇ σου.
