Creation serves the just at the Jordan

On the crossing of the Jordan. To the sinner every creature is an enemy, as with the Egyptians — earth, river, air, and heaven fought them. For the just even impassable things are made level. The just crosses the Red Sea as on dry ground; the Egyptian sinks. In the desert food is served from heaven. At the Jordan the ark of the covenant leads; the priestly order stands; the waters check their course. You, Christian, who have passed Jordan’s streams in baptism’s sacrament, hear Paul promise still greater things: We shall be caught up in the clouds to meet Christ in the air. If you pass through fire, the flame will not burn you. Every creature serves the just — and these things are fulfilled mystically in you.
