1 Jabin king of Hazor gathers northern kings with many horses and chariots. They march to Merom’s waters. Pride and worldly pomp array against the church.

Iabin rex Asor congregat reges aquilonis equos currus multos. Exeunt ad aquas Merom. Figuratur superbia et saeculi pompa adversus ecclesiam.

Hamstring the horses§2

2The Lord: Hamstring their horses and burn their chariots. Do not trust horses. Our hope is the Lord, not the age’s weapons.

3 He burns Hazor; other cities he leaves standing. The land rested from war. Complete victory begets rest. Amen.
