Could not this man who opened eyes have kept Lazarus from dying?
Some of them said, “Could not this man, who opened the blind man’s eyes, have done something so that this man would not die?”
The puzzle moves toward greater glory: not only to prevent death but to raise a four-day dead man.

Τινὲς δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν εἶπαν· Οὐκ ἐδύνατο οὗτος ὁ ἀνοίξας τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς τοῦ τυφλοῦ ποιῆσαι ἵνα καὶ οὗτος μὴ ἀποθάνῃ;
Ἡ ἀπορία εἰς μείζονα δόξαν χωρεῖ· οὐ μόνον κωλῦσαι θάνατον ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐγεῖραι τεταρταῖον.
