Thomas: let us also go that we may die with him
Thomas called the Twin said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”
He speaks with a martyr’s love, not yet knowing the power of the resurrection.

Εἶπεν οὖν Θωμᾶς ὁ λεγόμενος Δίδυμος τοῖς συμμαθηταῖς· Ἄγωμεν καὶ ἡμεῖς ἵνα ἀποθάνωμεν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ.
Φιλομαρτύρως μὲν φθέγγεται, οὔπω δὲ εἰδὼς τὴν δύναμιν τῆς ἀναστάσεως.
