Raising seed and child from bodies to souls
Let us hear all this by referring what is said not to bodies and bodily humans, but to souls and the dispositions in them.
For there is in a soul both Abraham’s seed and Abraham’s child; and not everyone who has the seed has already become a child.

Ὅλων δὲ τούτων ἀκούωμεν ἀναφέροντες τὰ λεγόμενα οὐκ ἐπὶ σώματα καὶ ἀνθρώπους σωματικούς, ἀλλ᾽ ἐπὶ ψυχὰς καὶ τὰς ἐν αὐταῖς διαθέσεις.
ἔστιν γὰρ καὶ ἐν ψυχῇ σπέρμα Ἀβραὰμ καὶ τέκνον Ἀβραάμ· καὶ οὐ πᾶς ὁ ἔχων τὸ σπέρμα ἤδη τέκνον γέγονεν.
