If anyone keeps my word he will not see death forever
As there is an indifferent life and another that is a good — “I am the life” — so there is an indifferent death and a death hostile to the one who said “I am the life.”
“If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” He means the evil death.

Ὥσπερ ἐστίν τις ζωὴ ἀδιάφορος καὶ ἑτέρα διάφορος ἀγαθόν — Ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ζωή — οὕτως καὶ θάνατος ἀδιάφορος καὶ ἐχθρὸς τῷ εἰπόντι Ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ζωή.
Ἐάν τις τὸν ἐμὸν λόγον τηρήσῃ, θάνατον οὐ μὴ θεωρήσῃ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα· τὸν πονηρὸν θάνατον λέγει.
