Abraham’s works: he believed God
Those who pick out one of Abraham’s works — “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness” — choose well.
Yet one must also seek the rest: departure from his land, offering of the son, hospitality, so that we may become Abraham’s children.

Οἱ ἕν τι ἐπιλεξάμενοι τῶν τοῦ Ἀβραὰμ ἔργων, τὸ Ἐπίστευσεν Ἀβραὰμ τῷ θεῷ καὶ ἐλογίσθη αὐτῷ εἰς δικαιοσύνην, καλῶς μὲν ἐπιλέγονται.
δεῖ δὲ καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἔργα ζητεῖν, τὴν ἐκ χώρας ἔξοδον, τὴν τοῦ υἱοῦ προσφοράν, τὴν φιλοξενίαν, ἵνα τέκνα Ἀβραὰμ γενώμεθα.
