My food is the Father’s will: nourishment of the Son’s work
Jesus says to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.” As bodily food feeds us and holds life together, so for the Son doing the Father’s will is nourishment.

Λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἐμὸν βρῶμά ἐστιν ἵνα ποιήσω τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πέμψαντός με καὶ τελειώσω αὐτοῦ τὸ ἔργον. ὡς γὰρ ἡμῖν ἡ σωματικὴ βρῶσις τρέφει καὶ συνέχει τὴν ζωήν, οὕτως τῷ υἱῷ τὸ ποιεῖν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πατρὸς τροφή ἐστιν.
