Homilies on Isaiah, Homilia VII · §3

Not mediums; the Word made flesh

If they say seek mediums and wizards, answer: this word is not like that. The church holds the Word became flesh and dwelt among us; we have seen his glory — glory as of the only Son, not Moses’ veiled face. Amen.

Latin

Si dixerint quaerite ventriloquos — non est ut verbum istud. Ecclesia dicit: verbum caro factum habitavit in nobis; vidimus gloriam unigeniti. Verbum in principio erat apud Deum; cui gloria. Amen.
