A jealous God

I am a jealous God. Divine jealousy is the Bridegroom’s love. He visits fathers’ iniquity and shows mercy to those who love him — not cruelty, but covenant care.

Ego sum Deus zelans. Zelus Dei amor est sponsi. Visitat iniquitatem patrum; facit misericordiam diligentibus. Non crudelitas, sed cura foederis.
