Theological Theses · §882

Not every dogma needs explicit grasp; privates need not pastor-level defense

Reformed do not require from every believer explicit apprehension of every dogma; knowing fundamental principal mysteries expressly is enough.

Even for those principal mysteries, privates need not the distinct accurate intelligence by which doctors and pastors defend and prove them.

Latin

LXII. Imo nequidem respectu praecipuorum istorum fidei mysteriorum necessario a privatis exigunt distinctam atque accuratam illorum intelligentiam, qua istiusmodi mysteria tueri, explicare & probare possint.
