Thus, where the Lord omnipotent takes to himself his mighty power and reigns, he subdues all things to himself, causes every heart to overflow with love, and fills every mouth with praise. Happy are the people that are in such a case. Yes, blessed are the people who have the Lord for their God.

Arise, shine, says the Lord, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. You have known that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty God of Jacob. I have made your officers peace, and your exactors righteousness. Violence shall no more be heard in your land, wasting or destruction within your borders. But you shall call your walls salvation, and your gates praise.

Your people are all righteous. They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. The sun shall no more be your light by day, neither for brightness shall the moon give light to you. But the Lord shall be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.

Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders: but thou shalt call thy walls salvation, and thy gates praise. Thy people are all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever: the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. The sun shall no more be thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
