Primacy of the Word: Wonderful Counselor; Messiah come
And so the Word of God has the primacy over all; for being true human being, and at the same time the Wonderful Counselor and Mighty God, (Isa 9:6) he has again called the human being to enjoy intimate union with God, so that through communion with him we may share in his incorruptibility. (2 Pet 1:4)
Now he who is announced in the Law by Moses and by the prophets of the Most High and Almighty God — the Son of the Father of all, through whom all things were made, (Jn 1:3) he who spoke with Moses — that one has come into Judea, begotten of God by the working of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, herself of the race of David and of Abraham: he is God’s Anointed, Jesus, who has shown that he is indeed the Messiah announced beforehand by the prophets. (Lk 1:35; Acts 10:38)
