“Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy writings concerning his Son, who was born from the seed of David according to the flesh, who was appointed Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness from the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

So then: if the proclamation about Christ is God’s gospel, how is Christ not God? And if every prophecy looks to its end in him, and the writings proclaim the one from David’s seed as Son of God — even when he is said to be appointed according to the Spirit of holiness because of the mystery of becoming human —
