Matthew 13:3
Christ speaks in parables also to show through them that he himself is the one prophesied, of whom David said, “I will open my mouth in parables,” and again, “And the man will be one who hides his words and will be hidden as from rushing water.”

Ὥσπερ παιδίων ὀρχουμένων, ἑτέρων δὲ θρηνούντων οὐχ ἵσταται εἰς ἓν <τὸ> βούλημα (ἀμφότερα γὰρ μέμφονται τοῖς ἑταίροις μὴ συμφωνοῦσιν αὐτοῖς), τοιοῦτόν τι πεπόνθασιν Ἰουδαῖοι οὐδὲ τὸ στυγνὸν τοῦ Ἰωάννου οὔτε τὸ ἀνειμένον τοῦ Χριστοῦ ἀποδεξάμενοι οὐδὲ δι' ἑνὸς τρόπου ὠφεληθέντες.
