Cyril: …‘priest his sacrifice, and his drink-offering, and will shave the one having vowed beside the doors of the tent of the witness the head of his vow, and will put the hairs upon the fire, which is under the sacrifice of the salvation. And the priest will take the arm boiled from the ram, and a bread one unleavened from the basket, and a thin-cake unleavened one, and will put upon the hands of the one having vowed after the to have shaved him his head, and the priest will bring-forward them a placing-upon opposite Lord. Holy it will be for the priest upon the breast of the placing-upon, and upon the arm of the taking-away, and after these, will drink the one having vowed wine. This the law of the one having vowed, who if he should vow his gift for Lord about the vow, apart from what things ever should find his hand according to power of his vow, which if he should vow according to a law of purity.’ (Numbers 6:18-21) For having unloaded as it were of the Mosaic history the thickness, and of a service the in a type and shadows, as of some hair long and heavy-hanging, having freed the mind, the one having owed for God the unto at least the needing to purify prayer, and hair as it were
