Leper outside camp; garment fire; flux uncleanness opens
Cyril: …being able. Through this he says: ‘And the leper, in whom is the touch, his garments let be having been loosened and his head uncovered, and about his mouth let him cast-around, and unclean he will be called all the days, as many as if upon him should be the touch, being unclean unclean he will be, having been separated he will sit, outside of the camp of him will be the spending.’ (Leviticus 13:45-46) For the on the one hand to have been loosened the garments, and uncovered to be the head, would under-show also very clearly the unhiddenly to be-unseemly. And at least the to have been cast-around about the mouth, the, as it were somehow an apology not to have, and to say to be able nothing, of God charging the uncleanness. And at least of the camp the to depart needing, a type would be again
Palladius: How terrible the matter and to-be-prayed-against.
Cyril: Altogether on the one hand then, O Palladius, therefore also was saying the divine for us David: ‘Sins of my youth, and of my ignorance, do not remember, according to your mercy remember me, for the sake of your kindness, Lord.’ (Psalm 25:7) And through all as it were sending the law, of the being-in accuracy for it the showing, and until vessels, of wool I say, and of woof, and of warp, and of a leathern vessel; ‘If leprosy should become,’ he says, ‘and of these for one should meet the passion, let look-down again the priest, and let him separate the touch; and if not some should become a running-after of the signaling upon the better, let it be spent with fire.’ For leprosy lasting it is, he says. (Leviticus 13:47-52) Yet, to be washed-off needing he orders the having-suffered; and if after this it should appear
Palladius: Thus it holds.
Cyril: So then leprosy then the law, the as in works dying under-shows well, from which someone would see clearly and sensibly the of the more-unclear thoughts bringing-up gracefully, and with fleshly examples whitening-down the intelligible. And rich as it were for us of the in souls defilements setting-beside the knowledge, and establishing vivid, just as in weaknesses of a body the intelligibly happening, he was addressing again in the Leviticus: ‘A man, a man, for whom if there should become a flux from his body, his flux is unclean.’ (Leviticus 15:2)
