You say: however it be, the Creator’s substance is found capable of offense, since God’s breath—that is the soul—sinned in man, and corruption of a portion cannot fail to be referred to the original sum. For this the quality of the soul must be interpreted.

Surely of him of whom he adds: ‘for a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image of God.’ Therefore if he is the Creator’s image—for that one, looking to Christ his Word as the man to come, said, ‘Let us make man according to our image and likeness’—how can I have another head, not him whose image I am?
